Your definitions of military firearms. The Springfield rifle is a military firearm...it did not fire on full auto. The M-1911 sidearm is a military weapon. it does not fire on full auto, it is semi-automatic. The M1 Grand and M1 Carbine were military weapons and fired only semi-automatic There are lots of military weapons that are single load, bolt action, or semi-automatic that require a trigger pull to fire each round. Here is the borderline between a military firearm & a civilian firearm;
1. Full-Auto = Military.
2. Semi-Auto = Civilian. (regardless of what the firearm looks like).
You may own a full-auto firearm if you possess a FFL.
It is expensive w/ a lot of paperwork & time.
The government and the courts have a right to restrict what types of firearms cannot be owned by civilians. If the government wants to make semi-automatic weapons unavailable to civilians it can do that without violation of the 2nd Amendment. The government has been doing that for decades.
